Ishin Roblox: What Does Ishin Mean?
Ishin, written 維新, is the Japanese word for a restoration or renewal. The famous historical use is the Meiji Restoration. Other kanji can have the same reading: the Roblox logo uses 威信, so 維新 is a dictionary explanation of the sound rather than a confirmed translation of the Roblox title.
The word
Wikipedia’s disambiguation lists the Meiji Restoration, the Japan Innovation Party, the reading 異神 for eccentric gods, personal names such as Ishin Nishio, and place names. A Sanskrit “medical mind” gloss does not appear on the pages I checked, so I do not repeat it. Isshin, the Sekiro character, is a different spelling. Isin, the Sumerian city, is another word.
The Sega game
Like a Dragon: Ishin! is Sega’s bakumatsu story. The original Japanese release was 22 Feb 2014 on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. A worldwide remake arrived in February 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox. It is set in Kyoto. It is not a school simulator and it is not on Roblox.
